What’s it all about?

As a scientist, over the years I’ve become increasingly frustrated with the media’s reporting of the newest research discoveries, especially in the areas of health and nutrition.  The headlines are usually wrong or misleading, resulting in people making changes to their lives that will be either ineffectual or damaging to their health.  My background is in engineering and kinesiology – I have a PhD in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo.  I have spent many years in research and teaching others about how the human body works. My goal is to report on some of the latest research in health and nutrition and explain what it can mean to our health.  If you have any questions, or you have a topic that you’re interested in, please contact me.
